Our Beliefs

….the entire Bible is inspired by God, without error and the authority on which we have our faith, conduct and doctrine. (Matthew 5:18; 1 Corinthians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21)

….in one God that eternally exists and reveals Himself in three persons Father, Son, Holy Spirit. That this one true God has revealed Himself as Father in creation, though His Son in redemption, and as the Holy Spirit by emanation (action of God – by his acts). (1 Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:6; 2 Corinthians 5:19; Joel 2:28)

…. Jesus died on the cross and shed his blood for our sins. We believe that salvation is found by placing our faith in what Jesus did for us on the cross. We believe that Jesus Christ was fully God in the flesh and man, that he was born of a virgin and that he lived a sinless life, in which He taught and performed mighty works, and wonders and signs exactly as revealed in the four Gospels. We believe that He was crucified, shed His blood, died to pay the penalty for our sins and was raised bodily from the dead on the third day. Forty days later, He ascended to the father’s right hand where He is head of the church and intercedes for believers. From there, he is coming again personally, bodily, and visibly to this earth to set up his millennial Kingdom. (Isaiah 7:14, 9:6; Hebrews 1:1-2, 7:25; Luke 1:30-35; Ephesians 4:8; John 1:1-5, 1:10-14, 14:3; Colossians 2:9; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:3, 11; Revelation 20:4)

….the ordinances for the believer are water baptism by immersion, the Lord’s supper as a memorial and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. They are, WE BELIEVE, not to be regarded as a means of salvation. These are evidence of obedience and fellowship with the Lord. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:38-41, 8:12, 35-38; Acts 10:48, 19:5; Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)

….in the baptism of the Holy Spirit for believers, obtained by obedience (Acts 2:38-39, 5:31-32) by asking (Luke 11:13), initially evidenced by speaking in other tongues as the spirit gives utterance, as a distinct, separate, and subsequent experience to conversion. (Acts 10:48, 19:5)

….healing is the atonement, that God is still the healer of His people, and that the church should recognize and practice this ministry as directed by the Lord Himself and practiced by his Apostles. (Exodus 15:26; Isaiah 53:5; Mark 16:18; James 5:14;Hebrews 13:8)

….the nine gifts of the spirit should be manifested in the church today, and that all spirit-filled believers should earnestly covert the best gifts for the edification and up building of the church. (1 Corinthians 12:8-11, 14:1)

.…the spirit-filled believers will produce the fruit of the spirit in their lives and their walk will be according to godliness and holy living.(Galatians 5:22-23; 1 John 2:6;1 Peter 1:16; Titus 2:11-13; 2 Corinthians 7:1)

….tithing is God’s financial plan to provide for his work, and has been since the days of Abraham. Tithing came with faith under Abraham; Moses’ law enjoined it, and Israel practiced it, when she was right with God; Jesus endorsed it (Matthew 23:23), and Paul said to lay by in store as God had prospered you. Do not rob God of his portion, tithes and offering. (Malachi 3; Matthew 5:17-18)

….every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus by obeying God’s word, yielding to the Holy Spirit, and by being conformed to the image of Christ. (Ephesians 4:14-16; Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 5:17-19)

….as children of God, we are overcomers and more than conquerors and God intends for each of us to experience the abundant life he has in store for us. (Romans 8:37-39; John 10:10)
